2022 E-Commerce Data Announced!
In the data announced by the Ministry of Commerce of the Republic of Turkey,
There were a few different statistics that caught our attention.
1. The most striking was the growth in order numbers with 43%. We saw that the growth graph of E-Commerce, which was thought to slow down especially after the pandemic, was actually independent of the pandemic.
The second striking thing was the rate of sellers selling in 2 or 3 Marketplaces. This data shows us that one of the marketplaces in Turkey has stood out very seriously. Sellers are increasing the risk by keeping it in one place.
3. When we examine our sales and purchases abroad, we see that we have a gap even in the E-Commerce sector. This gap may actually be greater than thought. When illegal elements (such as Betting Sites) are added, we can see a much bigger difference.
The fact that Mondays were recorded as the days with the most sales made us smile once again.
I did not pay much attention to the TL-based turnover and growth volumes of the data. It is not possible to evaluate it in the current inflation. However, it is possible to reach the quantity statistics by making a small calculation on the basket average and total turnover.
We have seen once again how important it is for us to work more, produce more and especially sell abroad as a country.
